JEFF SCAFONE
BASS GUITAR
Jeff has been around music his whole life; his Dad is a drummer who played on a couple of hit records in the late 50's/early 60's by his cousin, country/rockabilly singer Jack Scott.
Jeff's first taste of live performance came at the ripe old age of six when his Mom took him to a show where his Dad was playing with the house band. During a break, his Dad sat Jeff up behind the drums and let him bash away for a minute. The other guys in the band thought it was funny, and started to play along. It only took that one jam session, and he was hooked!!
Jeff's musical journey began with the drums, then the guitar, until he finally discovered the Bass around age 12.
Jeff has played in many bands around the Detroit area; only taking time out to raise a family.
Jeff landed a position with the "Danny D" band, which gave him the opportunity to play on bills with Uncle Kracker, John Waite, David Lee Roth and Air Supply.
Jeff's bass-playing influences include - but are not limited to - James Jamerson, Paul McCartney, Alan Spenner, Pino Palladino.
Jeff says: "The best part of playing with the G-daddys is the opportunity to play a wide variety of music. I know guys who play in classic rock bands, disco bands, country bands, top 40 bands, etc.. I play in all those bands. I play in the G-daddys."
